SupportSorted Update #5

Farewell Lukas, Big Tech Updates, and Pitching at A20 🚀

TLDR:

  • Presented at A20 event (26 leading Australian disability CEOs & execs) in Brisbane.

  • Significant platform upgrades completed to handle increased scale and reduce operational bottlenecks.

  • Lukas leaving SupportSorted to support his partner—huge thanks and best wishes!

The Ask:

  • Support Workers! I am looking to list more support workers on the platform, as it’s been a big request from users. If you know any support workers looking to fill their caseloads, please reply to this email!

  • Introductions to Support Coordinators: I’m continually refining our platform with early adopters. Know any Support Coordinators keen to streamline their workflow and grow their caseload? Please introduce me!

  • Tech-savvy Investors & Advisors: We're looking for advice from investors or mentors experienced in scaling health-tech startups. Any connections or introductions would be greatly appreciated!

G’day from SupportSorted!

This update is SUPER late, and I’ve missed updates from Jan and Feb. We’ve had an action-packed March here at SupportSorted (SuSo), filled with exciting updates, bittersweet goodbyes, and major platform improvements to get ready for scale.

Key Updates:

1. Presenting at the A20 Disability Sector Event 🗣️

I had the honour of pitching SuSo to Australia's top disability CEOs and executives at the prestigious Remarkable & A20 event in Brisbane. Big thanks to Jordan O’Reilly, Pete Horsley, Zara Fulton and Chris Palin (and the whole Remarkable team) for facilitating this incredible opportunity. The presentation sparked meaningful conversations and interest, further validating our vision and positioning SuSo among industry leaders.

2. Major Tech Upgrades ⚙️

I’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes, rolling out substantial technical updates. The upgrades significantly reduce operational bottlenecks, making our system more robust, scalable, and reliable. These enhancements set the stage for a big marketing push, allowing us to handle far greater volumes of referrals seamlessly.

3. Lukas is Stepping Down 💙

My co-founder, Lukas Wesemann, has made the tough decision to step away from SuSo to support his partner. Lukas’s commitment and vision have been foundational to getting us this far. We're incredibly grateful for his contribution and wish him all the best in this next chapter.

Traction

We went live about 5-6 months ago now, and since then we’ve had:

  • 40,000+ professionals appear in search

  • 10,000+ professional accounts made

  • 3000+ clicks on professional profiles

  • 200+ referrals made through the platform

This is on a shoestring marketing spend.

Kudos

  • Jordan O’Reilly and the Remarkable team for hosting the A20 event (and inviting me to pitch, I REALLY appreciate it)

  • Ethan Yates and Alice Sun for providing heaps of advice and feedback

  • Lukas for being a great co-founder

Looking Ahead:

With our upgraded platform, fresh industry connections from the A20, and new energy, we're excited about what's next. As always, thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission.

Warm regards,
Dr Sam Donegan
